Kids program
methodology
At Gracie Barra Agoura, our kids program is designed to do more than teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It helps shape strong, confident, and respectful individuals. Under the guidance of Professor Jaeson Bianchi, who has been leading youth programs since 2011, we provide a structured and uplifting environment where children can thrive both on and off the mats.
Our age-specific classes focus on building physical coordination, mental resilience, emotional control, and character. Through consistent training, students develop discipline, confidence, focus, and leadership skills. They also learn the importance of respect, teamwork, and perseverance, all while having fun and staying active.
Most importantly, Jiu Jitsu gives kids the ability to become bully proof. They gain the confidence to carry themselves with calm assertiveness, along with the practical self-defense tools to stay safe if needed, without promoting aggression. Our instructors empower students to handle conflict with awareness, composure, and control.
With Professor Jaeson’s extensive experience and proven ability to connect with young learners, every child at GB Agoura receives the mentorship and support they need to grow, not just as martial artists but as people.
Little Champs (Ages 4-6)
This fun and engaging class introduces young children to Jiu Jitsu through games, movement, and age-appropriate instruction. We build body awareness, coordination, and social skills like listening and working as a team, all in a nurturing and playful environment.
Juniors (Ages 7-9)
Students in this stage begin to refine their Jiu Jitsu skills and are introduced to light sparring in a controlled setting. Emphasis is placed on communication, discipline, and friendly competition, helping them gain confidence and improve focus while developing physical strength and balance.
Teens (Ages 10-15)
The teen program focuses on building a strong foundation in Jiu Jitsu while teaching emotional regulation, self-confidence, and technical skill. Teens are challenged in a supportive setting that prepares them for competition, self-defense, MMA, and a smooth transition into adult training.
