Gracie Barra Agoura offers a comprehensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program for children and teens through its dedicated youth curriculum, the “Future Champions Program.” This program is designed for children ages 4 to 15 and is recognized for its structured approach, focusing heavily on character development, practical self-defense, and building long-lasting confidence.

The academy is located at 5883 Kanan Rd, Suites 16 & 17, Agoura Hills, CA 91301.

  1. Program Philosophy: Character, Discipline, and Resilience

The core belief of the “Future Champions Program” is that BJJ is a powerful tool for holistic development, extending well beyond the physical sport.

Anti-Bullying Focus: This is a crucial component. The program teaches a non-violent approach to self-defense, equipping children with the tools to handle confrontations through control and de-escalation, rather than relying on striking or aggression. Children gain the confidence to use an assertive posture and voice, which are often the most powerful deterrents to bullying.

Core Values: Every class reinforces essential life skills: Discipline, Respect, Perseverance, and Focus. The structured environment and the progression through the belt system teach children the value of consistent effort and delayed gratification.

Expert Coaching: The youth program is often overseen or led by highly qualified black belts, such as Professor Jaeson Bianchi, who has extensive experience mentoring young learners, ensuring the lessons are delivered effectively and safely.

  1. Structured Curriculum and Age Divisions

The program is meticulously structured into age-appropriate groups to ensure maximum safety and effective learning at every developmental stage.
